Could someone please make these wheel arches less ridiculous? Why on a bone stock truck is there a 12" wheel gap. If some one could eliminate this it would please me.im thinking just lower the top of the fenders, that that weird exaggerated body line, so the are closer to the tire.

... Suspension travel for people who actually use these for work.

Do these trucks even have that much travel? I doubt it. It’s just an artificial way to make the truck look bigger

Yes. Enough that if the wells were smaller, it would rub. Besides, it would look dumb as fuck with smaller openings.

The gap is there for the people that tow 5th wheel trailers.

FACT:
It’s a conspiracy between the auto manufacturers and tire companies to make you spend $80k on a truck and immediately go buy bigger tires.

Yes. Surprisingly so... at least, on a 1500.

If a 5th wheel dropped its rear that much, it should not be on the road. I would say more for flex, not load. A vehicle with its ass on the ground is one to avoid. I tow with my truck all the time, the rear drops 1"-2" when I put a 16,000 lb trailer on.

Well yeah I didn’t mean all the way but it would drop and the rest would be for suspension and flex.
